Charlotte Observer, March 7, 2001
excerpt from "Blocked songs a low hurdle for ardent local music fans" Another Charlotte band that sees Napster as a source of free publicity is the rock group justincase. John Tosco's children are in the band and he thinks Napster is a good thing. His wife, however, said it robs musicians. Earlier this year, Napster selected justincase as a feature band of the week. The popularity of the band prompted Napster to select it as band of the week again, and justincase sold 50 to 60 CDs online during that two-week period. "At this stage of our band's development... we will go for the exposure and forgo being compensated to have the music put out there," he said.
