Justincase You Were Wondering...
Nickelodeon Feature

Teenpop is getting an edge. You only have to look as far as the recent MTV Video Music Awards and Avril Lavigne's success there to see that bubblegum has lost its flavor. Enter Justincase. This band of siblings from Charlotte, North Carolina includes Justin, Nick and Hannah Tosco, all of whom are ready to trade songs about cars, clothes and cotton candy for a more thoughtful, soulful, edgier sound.

"Don't Cry for Us," the first single from their debut album, is in heavy rotation on MTV, and it's take on what it's like to go through hard times contrasts with a lot of the pop that surrounds it. But according to Justin, the whole album tends to be a bit tougher than what we've become accustomed to.

"One of my favorite songs on the album is the leading track, 'What I Wouldn't Do,'" he said. "It's about wanting to help a friend who's in a rough spot and really not knowing what to do." Nick says his favorite song on the CD is "Letter." "That's the angry song," said brother Justin. "It's a song I wrote about breaking up with a loved one."
